The Integration Lab
Trust Your Body Again
In-Person Recovery & Movement Integration
You’ve strengthened the weak muscles.
You’ve stretched the tight ones.
You’ve completed physical therapy.
And yet…You still feel uneven.
You still compensate.
You still brace without meaning to.
You still don’t fully trust your body.
The Integration Lab™ addresses what often gets missed in recovery:
How your whole system works together.
Why Recovery Sometimes Stalls
When a pattern has existed for months or years — or after surgery or injury — your body adapts.
Some muscles begin to overwork (hyperfunction).
Others stop contributing effectively (underfunction).
Physical therapy often focuses on strengthening the underfunctioning muscles.
But unless the overworking muscles learn to release, the imbalance continues.
And most people never experience what coordinated support and true alignment actually feels like.
That’s where this work comes in.
What We Do in The Integration Lab™
This monthly in-person class focuses on:
identifying hyperfunctioning patterns
releasing unnecessary muscle holding
restoring balanced coordination
retraining walking and daily movement
improving alignment without force
helping the nervous system update outdated protective habits
We use:
guided movement exploration
hands-on support
body mapping principles
practical daily activities like sitting, standing, and walking
This is not about exercises.
It’s about retraining how your body organizes itself.
Nothing is about forcing change.
Everything is about discovering options.
Why In-Person Makes a Unique Impact
In-person sessions allow:
subtle hands-on guidance
immediate feedback
clearer sensory awareness
deeper understanding of what “aligned” actually feels like
Many people simply have never felt balanced coordination.
Once you do, your system has something new to organize around.
This Is Especially Helpful If You:
still limp after surgery
feel uneven or unstable
experience recurring back or neck pain
notice one side always working hard
completed PT but still feel “off”
want to prevent future breakdown
are a performer rebuilding confidence
This is not:
✘ a replacement for medical care or PT
✘ corrective exercise
✘ a posture clinic
✘ a fitness class
✘ passive bodywork
It’s practical nervous system retraining using real movement.
Trust Your Body Again
When hyperfunction softens and underfunction re-engages:
Movement feels lighter.
Pain often decreases.
Balance improves.
Confidence returns.
The Integration Lab™ helps your body function more like it was designed to.
"People do not decide their futures, they decide their habits and their habits decide their futures."

No. While performers often benefit from this work, the Integration Lab™ is for anyone who is:
recovering from injury or surgery
noticing ongoing tension or imbalance
experiencing compensation patterns
completing physical therapy but still feeling “off”
seeking more ease and confidence in movement
a performer refining coordination and support
Everyone’s experience is welcome, and the focus is on practical results, not performance identity.
-
This monthly in-person class focuses on helping your body move more efficiently by:
identifying overworking (hyperfunctioning) patterns
reducing unnecessary muscle tension
improving balanced coordination
retraining walking and everyday movements
applying body mapping principles to daily tasks
We use guided movement exploration, hands-on support, and practical activities like standing, walking, and sitting to build more reliable patterns of support.
This is not exercise, corrective stretching, or a class where you are expected to “fix” yourself — it’s about helping your nervous system update how it organizes movement.
-
Yes — gentle hands-on support is offered with consent. This is not used to force positions or “correct” you, but to provide sensory information so your nervous system can notice what easier support feels like.
You are always welcome to decline hands-on guidance and still fully participate.
-
Yes. The Integration Lab™ uses a trauma-informed approach, emphasizing safety, choice, and pacing. You remain in control of your experience at all times.
Exploration is non-invasive, adaptable, and respectful of your current capacity and nervous system needs.
-
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily — pants are helpful if we explore positions closer to the ground.
You may wish to bring water.
No special equipment or preparation is required.
-
Physical therapy often focuses on strengthening muscles and restoring range of motion after injury.
The Integration Lab™ focuses on how your nervous system coordinates movement so your body can use those changes in a stable, integrated way.
This helps address compensation patterns that can persist long after therapy ends and can support lasting ease and confidence in daily movement.
-
Because space is intentionally limited to create a focused, supportive environment, all registrations are final.
There are no refunds, reschedules, or transfers for missed classes. Thank you for honoring the space you’ve reserved.
